Hello everyone, I decided to put together a short guide on how to get to ng+ in the new Dragon's Dogma 2. I don't know what will be obvious to you and what won't, in any case, I will write everything in as much detail as possible, and you are already looking for what you will need it.
Dragon's Dogma 2 endings
Let's start with the fact that there are three endings in the game, but do not be afraid that decisions will be made at the end. And some of them may not be so obvious.
Bad ending
Refusal to Fight the Dragon: If you choose to run for your life during the Legacy quest, which takes place atop Moonglint Tower, you'll see a short coronation scene where your Arisen is crowned in a bleak, empty ceremony. You will then be returned to the main menu and prompted to reload your save.
Good ending
Defeat the Dragon and Take the Throne: If you choose to fight the Dragon and defeat it, you will have a different, more joyous coronation ceremony than the bad ending. After taking the throne, you can start the game again with your levels, equipment and some items saved.
In the next section, we will talk about the third - "real" ending, it is the one that interests us, because it is the real ending that opens the door to NG+ in Dragon's Dogma 2.
How to unlock the secret ending of Dragon's Dogma 2
A true ending
Escape from the cycle: That is what interests us. To reach the true ending, you need to defeat the Dragon, then attend the coronation ceremony. Instead of sitting on the throne, talk to The Pathfinder, who is sitting at the table next to the throne. He will offer you a chance to go back to the moment before the battle with the Dragon.
During the long flight scene, when you have control of the character, you need to descend lower to the heart of the dragon. Next, open the item menu and select the Empowered Godsbane Blade, this is the same sword you created in the lab.
Use it to hit yourself and you'll trigger a long cutscene that will eventually lead you to a new part of the game known as the world unchosen. This is the point of no return! After entering the world of the unchosen, you will not be able to load the previous world.
How to get into NG+ Dragon's Dogma 2
This is where the difficulties begin. After you enter the world of the unchosen, or "unchosen" world, you will have beacons on the map. They can also be seen physically in the sky. They should be closed. This process will vary from beacon to beacon, but in general it boils down to simply killing the boss. There are 5 such beacons in total, but not all of them will be available from the start.
It is also important to note that time in this location is limited. With each passing day, a red fog will gradually creep in that will kill you and the entire population of the world, so you are on a timer. I do not have a clear understanding of how much time you have. However, I can definitely say that I spent about three hours playing it, and slept for 4 nights (I'll explain why later) and didn't see any changes.
Very important. If you die in this world, or miss the fog and it takes over the world, you will be rolled back on the first day. That is, your task is to survive in any way and get through everything as quickly as possible.
I just fell from a height, and out of habit I decided not to spend a revival stone, which cost me a restart of three hours of gameplay. Don't do that.
Next, I describe each action step by step, so as not to get confused, because the quests here are much more sophisticated.
1. Discovery of new return stones
In this world there is no sea and no water in general, so a new space for research will open up for you. At the bottom of the former ocean you will find many chests and in general there will be stones of teleportation. You can collect them in large quantities and this will speed up the movement process. But for this you need to open new stones.
So, your first action is to run to the quest marker in the flooded palace where the first ruler sat. Now it is no longer flooded, and the ruler will give you a quest to evacuate the population, after which you have new teleportation markers will open. This action is necessary not only for stones, but also, in fact, for the evacuation of the population, because without completing this quest, you will not be able to go further.
2. We take away our main pawn
The second action is to take away the main pawn, which is lying half-dead in the count's chambers. We run to the laboratory and in the room with the dragon we go up to the second floor and find rooms, there will be a count and a pawn.
3. We go to the first lighthouse.
After we took the pawn from us opened up another, the fourth lighthouse. Which will be located right in the city, it will be impossible to miss if you leave the temple through the main gate.
After its activation, a crystal dragon will fall to the ground, which will block the way to itself and summon monsters. Everything is simple here Follow the graph and you will be happy. At the end of the column can be killed, but you do not need it to complete the quest. Just smash the dragon.
4. We evacuate the first city
After you have broken the dragon and the lighthouse has closed, you can start evacuating the city. To do this, you need to go to the empress, who miraculously came to life here (if you killed her). You can find it in your rooms. If you enter through the main gate of the temple, run straight, until you lean against the statue in the corridor passages - there will be rooms there.
After talking with the empress, you are sent to find her henchman (a large beastman with a spear on her back), who gave a quest to protect the empress. It will be directly below if you exit through the main entrance. She asks for help, but you can easily figure it out without me.
5. Evacuation of Vermund and the Volcanic Islands
Here the procedure is exactly the same. First you need to close the beacon in the region, and only after that you will have the opportunity to evacuate the city.
In Vermund you will need to talk to the captain of the guard, he will be in the tavern as always. He will send you to Sven, who is now the head of Vermund. Don't run straight to Sven though, it doesn't work I checked. Sven will give you two tasks, persuade his mother and find wagons. You can not persuade the mother, you can just kill her, because it was this goat who arranged everything. However, if you are a merciful creature, you can simply take the casket that is in her room and bring it to Sven. Although I'm not sure if this works for everyone or just the people who did Sven's quests early in the game. In any case, whether the mother is dead or alive, Sven will agree to go with you.
Sven can give a quest already after completing the evacuation quest, but it is not mandatory. So is the captain of the guard.
On volcanic islands after closing the lighthouse, come to the center of the settlement, there you will be sucked into the dialogue automatically. The local leader will ask you to pick up the blacksmith and his wife. The blacksmith will have to be carried, because his sore back will wear you down faster than the goblins at every turn. After proving them, you will have to talk to the leader, and then to the mercenary, but there should be no problems here.
6. How to persuade elves to evacuate in Dragon's Dogma 2?
This is where I danced with the tambourine. Actually, it was because of these elves that I fell, while I was looking for how to force them to evacuate. They reminded me of people who, during an air raid, do not go to the shelter with the words "Bahne so bahne."
After clearing the lighthouse near the elven grove, you will need to enter this same grove. You can see the shops on the mini map, if you have never been there. There you should be approached by an elf woman who will speak in a broken human language, after which she will ask to meet her brother. There was a case when the elf did not approach me, so I immediately went to my brother. it stands in the center of the city. A tall archer with long hair. He will take you to his father, the lord of these lands. Most likely, you, like me, did not complete the elf quest line, so you will be denied evacuation.
In this case, you will have to come to your father within four days and start a dialogue with him. At first he will refuse, but then he will say that he gives in to our persistence. Oh well.
7. The final fifth beaconAfter all the above steps, you will have to go to the flooded fortress and sleep there "until morning" and you will have the last fifth beacon. You should look for it on the volcanic island near the moon tower. There will be another snake-like bastard. We kill her and return to the flooded fortress.
Congratulations!
Well, that's all. Now you have the last beacon, which will start a cutscene, no more battles. I hope it was written in detail, but if not, write here in the comments - I will answer. Thank you all for your attention and happy hunting.
